APRIL 21
Hello everyone, this week we have gaming as everyday media, Ninja rebrand, a couple interesting collabs, and retro links that will take you to childhood memories. Let's go.

🖼️ Everything is Gaming
Love, Death & Robots. Look, this Netflix series has nothing to do with gaming.
But it does, if you think about it.
The attention and public mass adoption of a game usually comes from marketing hype, smart influence and trajectory from previous projects. But at the end of the day, it's game aesthetics and how it works what truly brings that shit to life and fame. Developers don’t get enough credit, that’s for sure.
Each episode is a different story, with a different animation style, with a different message. If you’re searching for ideas, these episodes ain’t gaming, but you could breathe gameplay from each frame.
When you think about inspiration and mood boards, I encourage everyone to binge LD&R. Animation styles and storytelling will fuck your brain. I have used elements of it for video, design, even writing. Third season is coming soon, here’s a hype teaser. This one, and Riot’s Arcane are my weakness at the moment.
Interesting fact: Love, Death & Robots randomly changed the order of episodes, so when people started talking about an episode, you would be like “wooow wait wtf, I never saw that”, so it encourages you to watch everything and pay attention to each plot so you could later be able to talk about it. Appreciate the art first, discuss later. Not sure if they still do it, but smart af.

🟦 Ninja Rebrand
A rebrand for Ninja is very smart right now. He went from being the number one reason for kids to literally hyperventilate and cry everytime he would go live on Twitch, to just another streamer trying to make it by showing his true personality. I mean, he already made it because of sponsors, investments and stream rights bags… but you know what I mean.
In terms of the actual rebrand, holy shit end me please.
Is really common to hate a rebrand and then get used to it and like it, but in this case… you could pay me to talk nicely about it, but I wouldn't be able to take the money. If the whole idea was to represent streaming to a more adult audience, he could still tackle the youth market and I’ll be like “yeah, his branding is good for it”.
Celebrities don’t have enough people surrounding them willing to say no or what in the actual fuck are you doing?.
