APRIL 14
Hi family, y’all doing good? Elon Musk now tried to buy Twitter as a whole, adding a 420 to the final number. Where are we living? Anyways, let’s dive in.

🤨 The Cringe Status
It’s hard to say Meta without thinking of Facebook's cringe approach to things in the past. When you have a huge company like that, you can’t try to impress people about your Metaverse involvement by showing a fucking business board with legless playmobile looking like characters as a major interest point.
And all of the sudden, Zuckerberg is the face for every VR and Metaverse marketing campaign… why? They never did that before, don’t you think that’s weird? There has to be something in there that we are not thinking about. Why would they say “oh, let’s use Mark’s face for every campaign from now on. People love him, they will use our VR platform”. Hummm… people might love Jesse Eisenberg, not Mark Zuckerberg, I’ll tell you that. There is something else that this vicious Facebook marketing team is planning and we can’t see it yet.
By the way, Meta’s platform Horizon Worlds will have a little detail of Meta taking up to 47.5% of digital assets sales. The fuck? Good luck getting people to build in there. For reference, Apple takes 30%. Wait, on top of that, Horizon Worlds will charge 17.5%.
I don’t know if the two coffees I had in 30 minutes are making me a bit delusional, or if these numbers are foreal.

👀 They Won’t Stop
So… Epic Games announced $2B in funding to build the future of digital entertainment, a.k.a the Metaverse. If we thought the Lego partnership was the only thing they had in mind, we’re all wrong, and if we think this is the last investment for digital creations coming through, we’re probably wrong as well.
KIRKBI and Sony (again) are the investors. Sony is so involved with Epic, that I wouldn’t be surprised if all Sony executives are having sex with Epic executives. Beautiful. Love is love.
🤌 and the winners are…All BAFTA Games Awards winners.
⚒️ Alrigh, alright, alrightSEGA is making several AAA games, interesting.

🎺 Music is Always Important
Gaming sound design has always been absolutely important, especially for adventure games filled with storylines, different themes and emotions across gameplay. But I feel that in the next few years, music and gaming will be at its highest.
They are included in several awards, famous artists are coming in giving rights for developers to create their own versions of those songs for games. Storylines and gaming are getting as complex as in movies, and music has always been a cultural connection between film and the people. We're getting more involved and invested with games, because technology is making it feel like we can be part of that movie.
The problem is that labels are greedy and it isn’t as easy as you think to pull out some dope songs for games. But if publishers can finesse the process a bit, I think it’s an absolute game changer.
Here’s a closer look at vinyl soundtracks from a couple big titles.
