APRIL 7
Hi fam, hope everyone had a great week. I know Elon Musk and I had a good one. For Elon it was waking up and buying 9% of Twitter’s shares, and me… I didn’t buy shit, but it was my birthday on Monday. I have a lot of real ones in my life man, I’m grateful for that.

👘 Layers Upon Layers
If you’re hear about the world of digital fashion and you go like “yikes, that’s not a thing”. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you that it has been a proper thing for 3-4 years now.
Roblox worked for two years on a layered clothing system and they just announced its release. All existing Roblox characters can use up to 6 layers of clothing. You don’t see it as fashion because you’re looking at a fucked up Lego looking like lil toy using a shirt.
Focus on the concept though. Most kids in the United States are buying apparel for their digital selves, which they currently look like shit, but what about 3 years from now? If the character looks better, so will the clothing. That’s where brands jump in. Before you know it, your kid will have a teared up Gap shirt in real life, but a stacked Louis Vuitton online wardrobe.

📼 Video of the Week
The Coalition - “The Cavern”, Unreal Engine 5 test demo.
🕹 Retro Moment
Sony announced a new subscription called PlayStation Plus. The Extra and Premium categories will let you run back catalogs to play many games. If you want to play PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games, you need Premium.
Retro objects have always been expensive because of being rare and collectible. Retro gaming is kind of accessible for everyone, but I guess that there’s no difference, since it will be also expensive to get library access.
✋ The Clan
FaZe Clan showed their anticipated public company board of directors. Sheeesh that list is looking strong.
📖 Read of the Week
The Decade that Changed Video Games Forever, by James Burns.
📜 History is Fun
Hear me out on this one. If you didn’t like history class it is because your teacher was boring as fuck. I know it because mine was, and I hated history. Until I got a new dope teacher that would focus on fun facts and cool stuff behind the historical scene.
The University of Arizona wants students to play Age of Empires IV during class. Yo, come on now, why didn't we have this!

🌐 Collabing in the ‘Verse
Epic Games has always been very reserved in terms of the Metaverse. They waited a long time to get involved with it. It is because they were building their own version of it, along with Lego.Lego has 90 years working with experiences for children, and Epic Games probably doubled what Lego did with only a few years of Fortnite skins. So, yeah… they know exactly what they are doing.
